Cherry Blossom Porcelain Ornament
Our Library of Congress exclusive porcelain ornament is adapted from a Kokichi Tsunoi drawing. Tsunoi's original drawing resides in our Asian Division's Japanese collection and was part of the exhibit Sakura: Cherry Blossoms as Living Symbols of Friendship. 24kt. gold accents. 3.4" diameter, excluding hanger.
Tsunois's drawings are significant because they are of the original varietals that were gifted to the U.S. in 1912.
